H2-Uhoh!

Thinking about the last week, I did really well sticking to my health plan.  With only a few exceptions, I ate healthy and worked out.  To find that I didn't make any progress yesterday what disheartening, however, I thought of something that I missed this past week.  I have not been drinking the correct amount of water!

I am so terrible about this habit, and I know I need to change, especially if I want to achieve overall bodily health.  I went online to find out the benefits of drinking the proper amount of water, and they are numerous.  Here are some of the articles I read:

I am going to add this new change to my diet and see how this works.  I am sure I will see better results if I am good about developing this habit!

If you have any tips or tricks on how to drink more water please let me know.  It's just one of those things that slips my mind and by the end of the day, I'm like, "Wow, I am thirsty."

Have a great day everyone!

  1. I've been taking my water bottle(s) and dividing it up with little marks for each hour of the work day. My goal is to drink 3 16oz bottles during the work day and one in the evening (minimum). So I divided the bottles in half and labeled it with the hour that it needs to by consumed by. I hope this is making sense.

My other trick is to keep a large pitcher of Crystal light in the fridge & to go packs readily available for a little flavor.

    1. I literally did that exact thing before you even wrote this! Great minds think alike. Marking the water bottle seems to be helping. Great tip!

  2. I too struggle with this! It's not until the evening or before bed that I think wow! i'm thirsty, but then I don't want to wake up all night going to the bathroom so I only drink a few sips. I've even dehydrated a few times so you think I would have learned by now. I notice I have less headaches when I drink more, but I must have a tiny bladder b/c it goes straight threw me, and who has time for potty breaks every hour lol

    1. This is exactly how I feel. I also have a tiny bladder and hate interrupting my day (and night) constantly. However, if I am good about drinking it slowly but surly, around 4oz every half hour, I am not rushing to the bathroom constantly. I think the time gives my body the ability to absorb it better than it just rushing right through me.

    2. I agree :) Slow and steady is the way to go! I may have to break down and try that tip you posted.
